Class versus Ass

Notre Dame vs. Penn State is how college football is supposed to look. Open-air stadium, stripes in the endzone, nameless jerseys, not a single piece of astroturf to be seen, and gorgeous uniforms. The blue and gold of the Irish versus the white and navy of State College just gives this matchup the look that I want my college football to have. It's got some visual appeal to it, and the football was spectacular, if you're an Irish fan like myself.

Let's compare, shall we? A simple football education for you folks at home concerning aesthetics. You guys tell me what looks better. Look at Notre Dame and Penn State. You don't get classier than these unis in Irish Stadium.

Let's compare that to, say, the Oregon Ducks.

Which picture looks like a pair of football teams, and which picture looks like a box of melted crayons and carpet fibers? He's not screaming in joy at scoring a touchdown, he's screaming in pain at the horror that is Oregon's uniforms.

They're a great program, but they've got to get those uniforms under control. They have 4 different designs this year! Four!

My dad tells me I used to be a Notre Dame fan and in all honesty, now would be a great time to be one again. I'm legitimately starting to believe that Weis has brought back the "mystique" of
The Golden Dome and Touchdown Jesus has
risen from the tomb of mediocrity they were buried under for...well...a bulk of the years A.H. [After Holtz].

Penn State rolled over all things told,
but I think they're going to run through folks...up until they travel to
Los Angeles to duel with the Trojans on
Thanksgiving weekend.

As for the unis, as an FSU fan, I don't
care about any other school in Florida but them. I like ND's unis to a degree
and that being, I hate running with a team in NCAA 07 where I can't see the names of the players so I know who to applaud or chew out for screwing up.

But eh, college wasn't really college without ND being back as a perennial powerhouse.
