Mann-Up.

I was wrong. I'm going to start this out by saying that. I was wrong about Coughlin. He did not just what I thought was next to impossible, but damn sure was unthinkable. However, I was right about Eli. Whom, as of this moment, shall be referred to by me as Elijah Franchise. He is no longer Eli Manning, that name was taken by mediocre and so so QBs who did nothing of consequence for most of their careers. Eli, like myself on a personal level, understood the importance of seeing where the name is and taking it to heights where nobody thought it could be.

(And Jade, I'm all smiles knowing that just as your boys attempted to take occupancy on the block, their car got picked off in typical NY mobster fashion. :-P)

Ahem, moving along, this game went the way NY wanted. They made stops when they had to, they didn't let themselves get rattled whenever NE came back with a big shot and they retaliated when necessary. Eli didn't make the big mistake that cost them and Brady never got the big play when he needed it. And who would've thunk this, but Coughlin actually outcoached Belichick. He did what even I thought was unthinkable. So now what for the Giants? Well, a healthy Shockey makes this offense much better (maybe a ring on his finger gets him rededicated to working out with Elijah Franchise this offseason after he completes rehab) and I think this secondary still needs some help at the corner position.

Funny thing is, I'm euphoric right about now and buzzing. I still think the Pats will be back and all told, maybe this does for them what losing to the 'Boys in 1971 did for the No Name 'Fins. Still, all is great if you're a New Yorker/Jerseyan. The Mets got Johan for virtually the price of a handful of Jolly Ranchers out of one of those old school containers and the Giants managed to pull off the most improbable of upsets beating the previously unbeaten Patriots. Looks like Goodell won't have to answer questions about why the reigning champions had evidence of them cheating destroyed when he addresses Capitol Hill. Looks like the next president won't be shaking hands with Belichick and Brady, at least not this year anyway.

Oh and how can I forget this one...

It looks like cheaters never prosper after all. *Evil laugh* GO BLUE!

Fuck you, Len. Nice to see you trying to jump back on the Giants bandwagon after spending so much time proclaiming the Patriots' supremacy. You are a flat-out HYPOCRITE of the highest order--a so-called fan who only supports his so-called team when they are winning, and spends the rest of the time badmouthing them to the ends of the earth. Face facts, if the Giants had lost, would you be praising them for getting farther in the playoffs than anyone expected? Oh, fuck no--you'd be trying to fan the "Fire Coughlin" flames yet again and writing a million-rant piece on how much the Giants suck.

So-called fans like you make me sick, so don't even bother talking to me until you've got balls enough to root for your team when they're not winning games. The Giants may have won, but that doesn't make YOU a winner. The real winners are the people who truly stood by their team all season long, win OR lose. I respect them a hell of a lot more than I respect you right now.

Man, first your Yanks go down in flames and now your Pats complete the single biggest underachieving job in recent memory. Predictably, you attack me. :P

See, here's the thing though. I've been open about my disdain for Coughlin and I even said, if he gets the Giants to the Super Bowl, I'll recant everything I said about the man. Which I did a week and change ago. I'm of the guessing you missed the point of me putting the whole "rooting against my team" in parantheses, so let me spell it out one time so I'm clear.

I "rooted against them" because I wanted Coughlin gone. If they lose and management deems that not enough progress is being made with him at the helm, he's fired and a new guy gets to run the ship where it needs to be. In the end, that won't be necessary because
Coughlin got the job done.

I guess it's kinda similar to a point of how you Yankee fans felt after they brought in Joe Torre to replace Buck Showalter. Didn't feel real good about the thing until he got your first WS trophy since 1980, right? And even now,
I sit as a Giants fan who doubted and was made to eat crow for it. I never doubted Eli (even though Tiki and my Grandfather did and even he ate some). And come to think of it, there are a LOT of Giants fans right now celebrating yet eating crow because they like me, wanted Coughlin gone and were wrong for doing so. IT HAPPENS. Not all fans are truly happy with their teams and it takes a real fan to speak out when they aren't. I never once came on here and proclaimed I'd stop being a fan. I simply said and you uh, quoted, I wanted COUGHLIN GONE.

But like Beli-choke, I guess you've got to vent and stuff. Been a real crappy postseason stretch for some of your teams, eh?

- Yanks get bounced by the Tribe. (Joe Joe leaves and you're forced to settle with Joe Girardi *who didn't even get to year 2 with the Fish before being put out to pasture*)
- Pats become Greatest Underachievers Of All Time *Oh and just one other thing
to make ya feel better, they lost to a team that managed to avenge three of their six losses this year with their last three wins. Cowboys, Pack & Pats.*

And I'll be sure to keep an eye out for that car of yours with the Yankee headlights. Something tells me it'll sputter out and die before it comes within 15 feet of me. ;) *Evil Freddy laugh*

Oh, please--that is probably the LAMEST attempt at ass-covering that I have ever seen. You are seriously pathetic, Len.

Your own posts show your true colors--you have written countless posts proclaiming the Giants a failure of a team and you did at least two posts proclaiming the superiority of the Patriots. Hell, you have the gall to tell Tiki Barber to "know his role and shut his mouth" when he said EXACTLY the same shit you have been saying about both Coughlin and Eli Manning! You also GUARANTEED that the Patriots would win the Super Bowl. A real Giants fan would have had his or her tongue cut out before they would EVER say that the Giants would lose the Super Bowl. At most, they would say that it would be a tough game to win, but they would NEVER say that the Giants would lose. Only a pathetic bandwagon-jumping loser would try to have his cake and eat it too by claiming to be a Giants fan, but not even having the balls to pick them to win the Super Bowl.

You aren't a Giants fan and you never will be, and all the bullshit that spews out of your mouth will never change that, because YOU DIDN'T SUPPORT THEM UNTIL THEY STARTED WINNING, AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN BELIEVE IN THEM ENOUGH TO PICK THEM.

You are a poser. Period.

FIRE COUGHLIN! FIRE COUGHLIN! FIRE COUGHLIN!
