Before I get to the meat of my rant and the newest movement I'm about to start heading up, I wanna touch on a few things first and foremost.

First off, congrats to Tony Parker for getting engaged to Eva Longoria. Now that you've gotten that out of the way, help Timmy and Manu get them another ring so that order can be restored to the NBA and I don't have to suffer through the German Peyton Manning trying and failing miserably to get a championship.

Secondly, the BCS. They got it right people, knock it off. Here's the thing that I for the life of me will probably never get about this system. I've heard folks say that the one thing that was working against Michigan was the fact that they haven't played in two weeks.

Uh, okay.

But notwithstanding that minor detail, here's what we're overlooking or flat out ignoring. Florida won its last game, Michigan did not. Florida won its conference, much tougher than the Negative Ten and Michigan did not. I repeat, Florida WON ITS CONFERENCE AND MICHIGAN DID NOT.

That, in a nutshell is all you need to know here. Great for Boise State going unbeaten and everything, here's hoping you can duplicate the success Utah had about two years ago against Pitt and make the Boomer Sooners, Boomer Nevers. [By the by, I'm taking the Blue Broncs here. The world's gonna get introduced to Ian Johnson on New Year's. Same day by the by that K-Med takes on Cena in what figures to be the worst main event in Raw HISTORY. Thanks for giving me a legitimate reason to watch college football Vince, even with Rutgers not playing on New Year's Day.]

All of you Ann Arbor folk who are ready to see a playoff system, just stop it. All of you were spared being put on suicide watch by a potential second straight loss to the same team on a neutral field which would've REALLY incited Urban Legend In The Making Meyer to have a playoff system implemented [around the 1st of Neveuary, college presidents aren't about to cut off the cash bowls give their pockets err, universities].

Vince Young is the Truth ladies and gents.

While most may feel and rightly so that McNair got a raw deal, it was and will be for the best. Steve's gonna have his best shot at a championship in his entire career and Vincent Kennedy McYoung is busy making a lot of teams join his version of the Kiss My Ass club. Wunderlich score not up to your liking? Ha. He just beat the Mannings on back to back weeks. Side arm delivery kinda awkward? Tell that to 5 of the last 7 teams he just beat with it.

I saw him on January 3rd in the Rose Bowl singlehandedly win a national title and simply put, I knew this cat was gonna be a great pro. Too bad Houston stuck it out with Carr [which wasn't a totally asinine move as everyone made it out to be, it's just hard to tell the type of investment you've got on a QB of Carr's caliber when he's constantly on his ass] and New Orleans went with Brees.

No matter, put some talent around VKY and I'm telling you, the Titans with the best coach in the league nobody truly respects will be back in the playoffs.

Okay, it's main event time.

About two weeks and two losses ago, I wrote a blog about the Giants needing to boot Coughlin and rehire Fassel. Admit they made a mistake three years ago and simply get the man back, because geez, they need him. Then you had the Chernobyl-esque meltdown against the Titans in the 4th quarter a week ago and I was so angry I couldn't even find the words to type to aptly describe them. But then, there was last night.

Before I went off to a late service, I saw this game and flat out, if it weren't for the NY on their helmets there's no way I could have distinguished them from the Callahan coached Raiders because of all of the stupid fucking penalties these slapnuts were committing. 4 of which, were personal fouls.

So let me get this right, the Cough-lin demands his players be 10 minutes early to all meetings, is supposedly a disciplinarian and yet I'm seeing 9 damn penalties, four of which were personal fouls which are the dumbest and worst of them all.

I'm seeing a team with two 1st & Goal situations inside the 10 throwing the damn ball as if it's 3rd and a Texas mile from their own 9.

I'm seeing a coach that looks just as fucking lost as the team he's coaching and yet, much as the team is doing and failing miserably I might add, they want you to believe that everything's just peachy and it's all going to come together. Allow me to be the first to say...

IT'S NOT!!! The six losses this season haven't been pretty in the least bit. They were spanked by the Seahawks and Bears, choked against the Titans, were taken behind the woodshed by the Jags and basically beat themselves against the Cowboys while making Romo look like the second coming of Roger Staubach.

Oh and not like it's been said enough, let me add on, the best team in the NFC right now are the Cowboys. I'm a Jersey boy and I'm gonna tell you flat out, Tuna does his best work in the FOURTH year. Won a Super Bowl with the G-Men in the fourth year, took Bledsoe and the Pats to the Big Game in his fourth year, almost got the Jets there in 1998 (although I don't think that was his fourth year).
Everything's clicking for Dallas right now and when I say that, I mean EVERYTHING.

Don't believe me? Ask Automatica who with one kick, sent the Giants into full blown O'Reilly spin mode last night. Go on Strahan, muscle another damn ESPN reporter with a mouthful of food now ya friggin' mook. Try and fool us all into believing that this team isn't turning on each other and imploding left and right like a malfunctioning Soviet sub after the fall of the Iron Curtain.

And for a change, I can't blame Eli. The one time he actually played the way he was supposed to, he was done in by a defense that couldn't stop a turtle on a saltbed if they were on a hovering platform directly over his shell.

No, I'm not gonna play the "they're banged up" card because as I said in my previous rant, it defeats the purpose of having a bench if the men on the bench can't perform up to acceptable standards when their number gets called. I mean, Tom Brady got the call in 2001 and won a damn Super Bowl. And he was a SECOND DAY, 6TH ROUND PICK!!! People tune out the damn draft on the second day, unless they're absolute junkies. But regardless, there's too much talent on this team for it to be going into the tank and swirling around like a big turd that won't quite go down after the first initial swirl.

Nevertheless, the owners need to look at this seriously and take it for what it is. This is a defending division champion that since the Chicago loss, has gone downhill fast and not only are they doing it, they're throwing each other under the bus to boot. That is of course, when they aren't going after reporters who are asking valid questions about the bus-throwing. I mean hell, Strahan's rant on Plastico makes T.O. seem like a model teammate by comparison in this particular instance.

Hell, T.O. even came to the defense of Vandershanks earlier in the week. When's the last time you ever heard T.O. going to bat for a teammate instead of bashing his brains in verbally? Hear that G-Men? That's the sound of the 'Boys riding off into the sunset with your division title in hand.
